OBJECTIVES

At Harmony Pre and Junior School, we are committed to providing the highest quality of education.

Our aims and objectives are to:-

  • encourage learners’ need for exploration by stimulating their natural love of learning in a more excellent way
  • maximize each learner’s individual potential
  • prepare learners to become an independent, responsible individual by instilling the fundamental skills of learning
  • allow learners to experience the excitement of learning by freedom of choice

PARENT INVOLVEMENT 

Parents and families are essential partners with the school and their involvement is highly cherished. Parents’ involvement around school readiness in issues like attendance, punctuality and understanding of school policies and procedures contribute towards student success.

SCHOOL ADMINISTRATION 

The school administration shall consist of the School Administrator, Principal and any other two members appointed by the shareholder

THE TEACHERS

  • The school will make use of private and highly qualified teachers selected based on their past experience, qualifications, ability to fit into the goals of the school as modelled by the shareholders and moral values.
  • The School principal, on the recommendation or in consultation with the Chairman of the board of directors, shall interview suitable candidates. Suitable candidates shall be drawn from a shot list compiled by the shareholders/chairperson of board of directors or any of his or her proxy.

SCHOOL ORGANOGRAM

The School will endeavour to produce high standards with a view to produce future leaders that will live their lives in a more excellent way.

ELIGIBILITY FOR ENROLMENT

  • All Zimbabwean and non Zimbabwean kindergarten school age children who meet the academic selection criteria are eligible to enrol.
  • No student will be discriminated against on the basis of sex, race, creed infirmity and political persuasion of parents.

FINANCING: 

The school programmes will be financed by fees and levies received from parents of the learners in the school as well as donations from well-wishers and stakeholders. Fees and levies will be paid before the commencement of each term. Disbursement of the money within the school shall be determined by an annual budget approved by the Executive Board.

GENDER BALANCE 

The gender distribution of learners and staff members shall be balanced as much as possible
